Microchips are a wonderful invention and have helped many families find their lost pet. A concern is that the new Home Again chips cannot be read with our standard scanner. This can be devastating because the pet is scanned and not seen as chipped, and may not be reunited with their families. Please, if you find a lost pet have it scanned with both a standard scanner and one that reads the new frequency on Home Again chips. Some shelters and humane societies have both AVID and Home Again scanners. We are also getting a universal scanner soon.
We are excited to offer in-house blood profiles; we can evaluate your pet’s blood work within fifteen minutes of drawing it. We believe that this will help us to more quickly diagnose your pet and decide the appropriate treatment course.
Parasites are here with a vengeance. Please have your pets on heartworm and flea and tick control.
Did you know that if you buy your Heartgard from a veterinarian and do yearly heartworm tests that the company will pay for treatment if your dog becomes positive. This is not available through on-line pharmacies.
